Spokane Municipal Court Records

Spokane Municipal Court was founded in 2009 on the principles of impartiality, transparency, and collaboration. The court exercises jurisdiction over criminal misdemeanors, civil infractions, and Spokane Municipal Code violations occurring within the city. This includes domestic violence, impaired driving cases, and property crimes. The court processes approximately 101,000 tickets annually, including about 7,000 criminal misdemeanors, 10,000 civil infractions, 25,000 photo-enforcement infractions, and 59,000 civil parking infractions. Criminal misdemeanors carry a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. Gross misdemeanors carry a maximum of 364 days in jail and a $5,000 fine.

The court also runs several therapeutic courts including Community Court, DUI Court, Veterans' Enhanced Therapeutic Court, City/County Mental Health Court, and Domestic Violence Intervention Court. These specialty courts serve defendants who may benefit from treatment and supervision rather than standard criminal prosecution.

Spokane Municipal Court does not handle protection orders, name changes, small claims, or civil cases. Those go to Spokane County District Court or Superior Court depending on the matter. You can visit Spokane Municipal Court's main page for contact information, court calendars, and links to online services.

The court's mailing and in-person address is 1100 W. Mallon Ave, Spokane, WA 99260.

It allows you to find case information, look up hearing dates, and make payments on fines and restitution. The level of detail you can view depends on whether you have login credentials and whether you are a party to a case or legal counsel.

You can search the following without a login through the eCourt Portal: court dates by future date for a defendant, hearing dates by case number, all dates tied to a case number, hearings by date, and courtroom dockets.
